The Trophimus Center at Trinity Anglican Seminary

Ambridge, PA

Summary

The Trophimus Center is the heart of Trinity Anglican Seminary’s worship and community life, anchored by the newly consecrated Chapel of the Good Shepherd. The building has served as a place of worship for over 120 years, originally constructed in the early 1900s as a Presbyterian congregation and defined by its striking red stone façade, a domed nave among the largest in the region, a restored Schantz pipe organ, and a series of rare opalescent Kokomo glass stained-glass windows. Following a multi-year renovation and expansion, Trinity dedicated the building in May 2025. The restored center now hosts weekly Eucharist, commencements, ordinations, ACNA Provincial Council gatherings, and a wide range of community events.

Wave AVL partnered with LS3P Architects to deliver a fully integrated audio, video, lighting, and acoustics system throughout the space. Wave was specifically selected for this project because of our proven ability to integrate high-performing AVL systems within architecturally sensitive environments ensuring that the building’s historic character and sacred beauty remained the focal point of every space. From the soaring chapel nave to the modern Founders’ Hall and breakout rooms below, Wave’s systems support the full range of liturgical, educational, and community programming the Trophimus Center was designed to serve.
