Accounting Specialist
Wave is seeking a motivated Accounting Specialist to join our growing Accounting team. This individual will primarily own our Accounts Payable process while supporting company-wide expense management, corporate credit card administration, and daily accounting operations. Working alongside our Accounting Director, this role plays an important part in ensuring accurate financial records, efficient workflows, and exceptional internal customer service.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism. They enjoy building processes, solving problems, and collaborating with teammates across every department. This role reports directly to the Accounting Director.
Essential Functions:
Accounts Payable
- Own the Accounts Payable process, from invoice receipt through payment
- Review, code, and process vendor invoices accurately and timely
- Match invoices with purchase orders and supporting documentation
- Process ACH, wire, and check payments
- Monitor payment schedules while maximizing vendor terms and discounts
- Maintain vendor files; W-9s, banking information, and payment documentation
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Communicate professionally with vendors regarding invoices, payments, and account questions
Corporate Credit Cards & Expense Management
- Administer the company credit card program
- Review employee expense reports for accuracy, coding, receipts, and compliance
- Follow up with employees regarding missing documentation or approvals
- Process employee reimbursements timely, while ensuring compliance with company policies
- Reconcile monthly corporate credit card statements
- Assist in maintaining expense policies and procedures
Accounting Operations
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
- Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules
- Perform account reconciliations
- Maintain organized accounting records and documentation
- Support sales tax filings, audits, and financial reporting requests
- Cross-train across accounting functions to provide departmental backup
Department Support
- Partner with project managers, purchasing, warehouse, and leadership teams to ensure accurate financial information
- Assist with continuous improvement of accounting processes and internal controls
- Support additional accounting and finance responsibilities as the department continues to grow
- Alignment with company values, culture, and a team-first mindset
- 2–5+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or Accounts Payable experience
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining accuracy
- High level of integrity and discretion with confidential financial information
- Internal locus of control with the ability to proactively solve problems and improve processes
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Experience with ERP/accounting software required
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

Lead AV Install Technician (Tier 3)
Wave is seeking a Lead AVL Install Technician to serve as the field leader responsible for the successful installation, commissioning, and client handoff of AVL integration projects. This individual leads installation teams, coordinates with project management and clients, and ensures projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and according to Wave’s standards of excellence.
The ideal candidate is a servant leader who thrives in a hands-on environment, enjoys solving technical challenges, communicates effectively with both managers and teammates, and takes pride in developing others while delivering exceptional work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the on-site foreman, leading installation teams of approximately 4-6+ employees and subcontractors
- Execute projects safely, efficiently, and within established budgets and timelines while maintaining Wave quality standards
- Coordinate daily activities with Project Managers to ensure alignment on scope, schedule, and priorities
- Represent Wave professionally with clients, general contractors, and other trades throughout project execution
- Participate in construction meetings and communicate installation progress, concerns, and solutions
Installation & System Integration
- Oversee rack assembly, equipment installation, cable management, termination, labeling, and system integration
- Ensure all installation work complies with project drawings, schematics, manufacturer specifications, and Wave standards
- Install structured cabling including pulling, terminating, testing, and troubleshooting AVL infrastructure
- Review and markup schematic diagrams and building drawings while communicating discrepancies or field changes
- Conduct site inspections to verify proper implementation and site readiness
Commissioning & Client Support
- Commission AVL systems and verify proper operation prior to project completion
- Troubleshoot system issues independently and collaborate with Technical Support when necessary
- Provide client training on system functionality and operational best practices
- Support post-installation service needs and ensure a successful customer handoff
Documentation & Communication
- Document daily project status, field progress, and scope changes
- Communicate installation issues, delays, and change requests to Project Management in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate documentation to support project closeout and future service needs
Team Leadership
- Delegate responsibilities effectively while maintaining accountability for quality and productivity
- Mentor and develop junior installers and subcontractors through coaching and hands-on leadership
- Promote a culture of safety, professionalism, teamwork, and continuous improvement
- Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites at all times
- Support additional project or team responsibilities as needed.

- Internal locus of control with the ability to proactively solve problems and take ownership of outcomes
- Minimum of three years of experience in AVL integration, low-voltage systems, or related construction trades
- Previous experience leading installation crews or supervising field teams preferred
- AVIXA CTS-I certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire)
- Strong understanding of construction processes, installation methods, and jobsite coordination
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to report to the Charlotte office when not traveling
- Ability to safely lift equipment and work on ladders, lifts, and construction sites as required
- Location: Greater Charlotte Area (Would consider fully remote employee with 100% travel)
- Job Type: Full-Time (Minimum 40 hours, with overtime opportunities)
- Travel: Up to 75% of the time (100% travel if employee was fully remote)
- Reports To: VP of Projects
- Compensation: $30-35/hour, depending on experience

AVL Install Technician (Tier 1 & Tier 2)
Wave is seeking AVL Install Technicians (Tier 1 & Tier 2) to join our growing installation team. This role is responsible for installing, assembling, testing, and supporting professional AVL systems while working alongside experienced technicians and project leaders to deliver exceptional results for our clients.
The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in craftsmanship, communicates well with teammates, and approaches every project with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a desire to continually learn and grow.
Essential Functions:
- Install racks, equipment, acoustical treatments, cabling, and terminations according to system drawings and Wave standards
- Assist with equipment testing and system verification prior to commissioning
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and building drawings
- Maintain assigned tools, equipment, and inventory
Project Execution
- Complete assigned work safely, efficiently, and within budget while meeting Wave quality standards
- Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites
- Communicate installation challenges and opportunities for process improvement
- Support additional project or team responsibilities as needed
Additional Tier 2 Responsibilities
- Lead 1–3 technicians on small to mid-sized projects or specific phases of larger installations
- Install structured cabling, including pulling, terminating, testing, and troubleshooting
- Assist with commissioning AVL systems and verify proper operation
- Provide client training on completed systems
- Document daily progress, project changes, and field conditions for Project Management
- Troubleshoot AVL systems independently and coordinate with Technical Support when necessary

- Positive attitude with a team-first mindset and desire for continuous learning
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel up to 75% based on project requirements
- Ability to report to the Charlotte office when not traveling

- For Tier 1 – Minimum of one year of experience in AVL integration, low-voltage systems, or related construction trades
- For Tier 2 – Minimum of two years of experience in AVL integration, low-voltage systems, or related construction trades
- For Tier 2 – AVIXA CTS certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire)
- Location: Charlotte, NC (Mint Hill, NC)
- Job Type: Full-Time (Minimum 40 hours, with overtime opportunities)
- Travel: Up to 75% of the time
- Reports To: VP of Projects
- Compensation: $20-29/hour, depending on experience
